Refund & Returns Policy
Return rules, refund rules (including COD 10% deduction), and how to request a return.
Last Updated: January 16, 2026 This Refund & Returns Policy applies to purchases made through the Tech Zoo App, operated by TECH ZOO (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED.
1) Return Window
- You may request a return within 7 days of delivery (unless stated otherwise for specific products).
- Requests made after the return window may be rejected.
2) Eligible Return Reasons (Examples)
Returns may be accepted for:
- Wrong item delivered
- Item arrived damaged (must be reported promptly with evidence)
- Manufacturing defect (where applicable)
- Missing items/parts (if confirmed)
Not typically eligible (examples):
- Change of mind after heavy use
- Damage caused by misuse, drops, water, or improper installation
- Missing original packaging/accessories (where required)
- Items marked "Final Sale/Non-Returnable" (if clearly stated)
3) Condition Requirements
To be eligible:
- Item should be unused or minimally handled (as applicable)
- Original packaging, tags, and included accessories should be present
- Proof of purchase/order reference must be provided
We may inspect the product upon return pickup or at receiving.
4) How to Request a Return
- Open the Tech Zoo app and submit a return request (or contact support).
- Share order ID and reason.
- Provide photos/video where needed (damaged/defective/wrong item).
- Our team will confirm eligibility and the next steps (pickup/drop-off).
5) Refund Method & Processing Time
- Refunds are processed after the returned item passes inspection.
- Processing times can vary, but we aim to complete returns and refunds promptly after verification.
a) Prepaid Orders (Paid Before Delivery)
- If your return is approved and the product meets eligibility criteria, you may receive a full refund (subject to verification and any non-refundable charges clearly stated at checkout, if any).
b) Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders
- If your return is approved, refunds for COD orders may be subject to a 10% deduction to cover taxes/handling/operational costs.
- The remaining amount (typically 90%) is refunded as per the method supported (bank transfer/wallet/store credit, depending on what is available).
6) Exchanges
If you prefer, we may offer an exchange (same or different product) subject to stock availability and price difference adjustments.
7) Wrong / Damaged Item Claims
- Report within 48 hours of delivery for best resolution.
- Provide clear photos/videos and packaging condition.
- If verified, we will prioritize replacement or refund.
8) Refund Exceptions & Abuse Prevention
We reserve the right to refuse returns where:
- Evidence suggests misuse, tampering, or intentional damage
- Repeated excessive returns indicate abuse
- Product is non-returnable or hygiene-sensitive (if applicable)
